RECAP:

RECAP #2:
The town of Smallville has suddenly become the town of Stepford, as everyone in town has a beef with Clark's new girlfriend, KentFan. Sure, she tried to kill and stab some people, but that was last year, people! Get with the new! She's cured and stuff! That malpracting doctor said so! People give Clark and KentFan the dirtyglares -- even at karaoke night, which is just wrong. Chloe, Lois, Lana, and Jason all join in the KentFan-bashing, which only intensifies when Lana is attacked in the shower with her own almost-clear shower curtain. (Of course she's attacked while showering. How do you think they get the camera crew to show up for Lana scenes?)

Then Jason gets attacked with a very soft-looking scarf. All signs point toward someone who can teleport, but it turns out it's some poor-ass kid who looks like he's trying to be Jakob Dylan or Gael Garcνa Bernal or some damn thing, but who sports laughable CGI that makes his teleporting look like he's Pig Pen from The Peanuts. He's trying to clean up the town, despite his slovenly powers, and his targets include Lana and Jason because...they're dating? Who the hell knows. It's a pretty lame set of motivations, let me tell you.

Instead of going after Clark, who seems to be behind all the town's troubles, he frames KentFan for the attacks on Lana and Jason. But here's where it gets interesting: he kills KentFan. Seriously. He hangs her. Just like on Lost, but without the wussy cop-out of her getting saved. This broke-ass, lame Kryptofreak of the Week kills Clark's girlfriend. The one we were just starting to like. You bastard! Clark emotes, a lot. Just before she dies, KentFan reveals Clark's secret to Chloe, out of desperation to be believed, via a very showy Clark stunt. Chloe spends the rest of the episode debating whether she should tell Clark she knows about his powers (which I thought she at least had sort of figured out a few episodes ago) and trying to be a good friend.

Meanwhile, Jane Seymour flirts with Lex, whom she's trying to get to help split up Jason and Lana. It's tasty.

Clark causes a minor incident when he brings Alicia to the Talon – Lana is suspicious of Alicia after the last murder attempt. That night in Jason and Lana's apartment, someone gets through a locked door and tries to kill Lana. Everyone suspects Alicia but Clark defends her innocence. While a new staffer for the paper, Tim, tries to get a date with Lois, Clark tries to find a way to clear Alicia's name. He discovers she hasn't been wearing her bracelet but she still protests her innocence.

Jason is attacked outside the Talon by a similar appear-and-disappear killer, and Clark arrives in time to drive the killer off. Jason's mother Genevieve meets him at the hospital and Jason confronts her with his suspicions about how she set him and Lana up – she denies everything A doubting Clark insists that Alicia turn herself in and Alicia agrees, but only if Clark reveals his secret – he refuses and she teleports away.

Clark goes to Sheriff Adams, who reveals she was interrogating Alicia during the attack on Jason. Alicia goes to Chloe and offers to tell her "the truth" about Clark. She teleports Chloe into a car and drives them at high speed toward a wall after calling Clark. She teleports Chloe out as Clark arrives and catches the car as Chloe secretly looks on.

Meanwhile Lois finds that Tim is creepily obsessed with Lana and Jason's "immoral" relationship. Tim is a krypto-mutant who can dissolve into a dust cloud or something and goes to confront Alicia, drugging her. Meanwhile Genevieve meets with Lex and offers him information on how Lionel got out of jail.

Clark goes to visit Alicia and finds her dead, hung from the rafters. Lois reveals what she knows about Tim and Clark goes to confront him. With his ability to "dissolve" and super-strength, Tim holds his own until Clark uses his heat vision to render Tim helpless. He almost strangles Tim but refrains at the last second.

Jason confronts Lex and offers him a job and a chance for them to work together to figure out what Genevieve has going on. Clark is morose over the thought of how his refusal to reveal his secret may have led to Alicia's death. Chloe is concerned over her knowledge but Lois advises her that whoever she knows some secret about, Chloe should keep it. Chloe takes her advice and removes her articles from her Wall of Weird, and she and Clark share a moment over Alicia's grave.

QUOTES:

REVIEW:
Lois: First he married the girl, now he's dating her?
Chloe: That was subtle, Lois.

Alicia: I just want to apologize for what happened.
Lana: For trying to kill me or not succeeding.

Chloe (to Clark): Lucky for her Jason pulled as T.J. Hooker and broke the bathroom door down.

Genevieve (to Lana): Lana, I'm not a perfect mother. I can sometimes be a little overbearing and overprotective when it comes to the women in my son's life.

Alicia (to Clark): Everybody thinks you're normal. How do you think your friends would react if they found out you're a freak like me.

Sheriff Adams (to Clark): You flip-flop more than a politician, Kent.

Alicia (to Chloe): Why are you ignoring whats in front of your face? Don't you want to know the truth about Clark?

Tim (to Lois about Lana & Jason): I think they got what they deserved.

Genevieve (to Lex): My, you certainly have grown.

Lex: Can I get you something? I assure you, my tastes have matured.
Genevieve: I'm sure you've developed a taste for quite a lot of things, Lex.

Clark (to Tim): You killed Alicia. Iloved her and you took that away from me.

Jason: You want to team up with me against my mother..
Lex: The enemy of my enemy.

Chloe (to Lois): Sometimes it sucks to be me.

Lois (to Chloe): I've learned the hard way that people keep secrets for a reason.

Chloe: I want you to know that i'm here for you if you ever need to talk.
Clark: Thanks Chloe. I appreciate that.

SPOILERS:
Clark believes Alicia is doing better now but Lionel needs some convincing especially when Alicia infected Clark with red Kryptonite. As Jason and Lana enter the Talon, two security guards ask him to stay away from Lana. The owner of the Talon ordered that Lana be protected but the guards took it a bit too literally. Lex asked for protection for Lana, after she got attacked in her apartment. Jason is attacked and Clark thinks he knows who the suspect is. Lois gets a guided tour of Smallville's Historical Society. Sheriff Adams appears in the episode.
There is some conflict between Chloe and Alicia in the Smallville Torch office. After their bickering, Alicia implies to Chloe that Clark may be a "freak" himself. Could this revelation mean Chloe learning The Secret? "Everyone knows you're crazy, Alicia. Why should I believe anything you say?" Chloe tells her.
